My Story

My grandfather came from Portugal to Brazil in the second class of a ship when he was just 16 years old. He started the saga of a family of entrepreneurs.

My mother, a dressage rider, appears in Brazilian editions of the Guinness Book of World Records. She won the bronze medal at the Pan-American Games in Caracas.
She was and always will be my greatest teacher.
My father was a polo player for a long time.
He is my greatest enthusiast.
My brothers André and Fábio also represented Brazil in the sports, becoming the two best polo players in the country.

One day, I decided to take the same trip as my grandfather, but this time it was the other around. I left Brazil at the age of 18 and came to Europe to trace my own path.
Over the course of my career, I devised a method that seeks to balance eight aspects to achieve optimal performance in both personal, professional and sports life. This method helped me become the four-time Olympic showjumper I am today.
I have become a successful, four-time Olympic showjumping rider who has competed for Brazil in Athens, and for Portugal in London and Rio, where I finished in ninth place.
I have ranked fourth in the Top 10 world ranking and won many five-star Grand Prix over the last 25 years, competing at top level and winning the Longines Global Champions Tour in 2015 and the Rider of the Year in 2012.

In 2017 and 2018, I finished in second place for three times in the Grand Slam GPs of Aachen and Calgary, considered some of the most difficult shows in the world.
